クリスマスソング特集２曲目はAOR好きには外せない、David Fosterが1993年にリリースした「The Christmas Album」からJohnny Mathisが歌う♬It's A Most Wonderful Time Of The Yearをピックアップします。

オリジナルは1963年ポピュラーシンガーであるAndy Williamsのクリスマスアルバム「The Andy Williams Christmas Album」に収録されておりました。もちろんそちらも好きなんですが、Mathisが歌うこちらのヴァージョンはBPMがアップされてて僕的にはより好みであります。

その昔、ハワイで結婚式を挙げさせていただいたのですが、12月だった事もありホノルルの街中でこのMathisのヴァージョンを耳にしましたね。なのでこの曲を聴くたびにハワイを思い出します。

 フォスターのクリスマスアルバムには他にも珠玉のクリスマスソングがぎっしりなので後日、何曲かご紹介したいと思ってます。
